Marie E. (DeLuca) Pomroy

Marie was born in Philadelphia to the late John and Elizabeth Tritz DeLuca.  She passed away in VITAS Hospice Unit at Nazareth Hospital.  Marie was a long-time resident of Fishtown and was a dedicated employee at Hackett Elementary School, where she served as a lunchroom aide for over 25 Years.

Marie is the beloved wife of the late William (Bill) Pomroy, Sr. Devoted and dedicated mother of the late William (Billy) Pomroy, Jr.  She was predeceased by her sister Rita DeLuca Perry (Bernard).

She is survived by her brother John J. DeLuca Jr, (Barbara Hill), nephew Ronnie and Kathy (Pote) Pomroy. Sadly missed by adopted daughter Kathy Flynn, many nieces, nephews, cousins and

special neighbors who checked in on her. 

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Friday, December 12, 2025 beginning at 10 AM followed by Prayer and Words of Remembrance at 11 AM.  Marie will be laid to rest at a later date in Palmer Cemetery with her beloved Bill and Billy. 

The family is respectfully requesting memorial donations in her memory to Palmer Cemetery for care and maintenance of the cemetery at the address below.
