Maritza "Nena" K. Vargas

Maritza K. Vargas "Nena", age 28, passed away on April 4, 2026 after courageously battling her health since her childhood. She was surrounded by the love of her family. Nena was a resident of the Kensington section of Philadelphia until relocating to Bucks county with her parents.

Maritza worked as a CNA and truly loved caring for her patients. Taking care of others came naturally to her—she often put everyone else before herself. She was deeply dedicated to her work, rarely missing a day, and was known for her strong work ethic and sense of responsibility.

Beyond her work, Maritza was the life of the party, with a big personality that could light up any room. She loved making people happy, bringing laughter, warmth, and energy wherever she went. Her caring spirit and joyful presence left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

Maritza is the beloved daughter of Hector and Kristina Vargas, Cruz Claudio, and the late Maria Vargas. Loving mother to Isabel and Serena Vargas. Dear sister of Isaiah, Gaige, Cecilia, Gavyn, Savanah, Destiny, Janiyah, Zachary, Xavier, and aunt to Sammy. Cherished granddaughter of Maritza (Noel) and Margarita. Sadly missed by her uncle Xavier, her number one go to person and cousin Alisa, her grandparents, great grandmother, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral Friday April 10, 2026 beginning at 5:30pm in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia, PA 19125, followed by her funeral service at 7:30pm.
