Marjory "Margie" Malcolm Obituary

Marjory M. Malcolm "Margie" (nee Gibbs) passed away on December 19, 2020 at the age of 63. She is the beloved wife of the late Daryl. Devoted mother of George Gibbs (Michelle), Daryl (Amanda), Marjory (Rob), Marshall, Barry (Justine), Dolores, Mary and the late Michael and Mark. Loving Grandmom of Seana, Matthew, Daryl, Courtney, Mikayla, Marjory, Evangeline, Genevieve, the late Gaige and great grandmom of Vayda and Jordan. Dear sister of Patsy Gibbs, Jane Toth, Donna Gibbs, Jack Gibbs, and Eleanor "Elky" Davalos. Sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews.

Margie  was born to John "Jack" Gibbs and Madeline Hause Gibbs. She grew up in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia and stayed there to raise her own family. She was a loving mother to her children and was there for anything and everything they needed, no matter what she had to do. She always made sure her family had a hot meal every day and that they ate at the table as a family. Margie was very talented at anything she did, especially sewing and most people in the neighborhood had at least one thing that she made. She loved her weekends selling things at the Quaker City Flea Market, and loved the friendships she made even more. She also loved to plan the Malibu weekends in Wildwood where she spent weeks preparing food, gifts, and games for everyone to enjoy. Margie will always be remembered as being tough as nails....with a heart of gold, as she lived her life to help others. She will be painfully missed by all of her family and friends but they take comfort that she is reunited with her parents, husband, and sons.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral Monday December 28, 2020 beginning at 9am in St. Anne Church (lower) 2328 East Lehigh Ave. Philadelphia PA 19125. Funeral Mass 10:30am.
