Mary Catherine McGinty

Mary Catherine McGinty (nee O'Brien), age 75, passed away peacefully in her home on May 9, 2023.

Born in Fairmount, a Hallahan graduate and proud longtime resident of the "original Kensington" neighborhood.   

She was preceeded in death by her son Michael and grandsons AJ and Johnny.

She leaves behind brothers Tommy and Robert O'Brien: Children: David, Ann Marie (Bill), Leona (Josh) and Gary Blaker.

Grandchildren: Eddie, Joe, Krystal, Billy, Amanda, Chrissy, Mikey, Boody, Nick, Bridget, Christian and Sophia as well as many great grandchildren. 

She will always be remembered for her love of the oldies, watching her Mummers strut down Broad Street, having her cups of tea with Butterscotch Krimpets, her sweet tooth for 'orange slices' candies and never missing her General Hospital (her favorite Sonny).  She made the best potato salad around and made sure you knew it !!
