Mary Yvette Ford

Mary Yvette Ford passed away unexpectedly at home on December 26, 2020, which was her 64th birthday. Beloved daughter of the late Melvin J. Ford Sr. and Mary Hebding Ford. Dear sister of Karen Hensler (Christian), Trina Ford, Melvin Ford Jr., Terrence Ford (Janet), Timothy Ford (Patty), Edna Ford, and Christopher Ford.  Loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews and great nieces an nephews. 

Mary grew up in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia and lived there until moving to Tacony. She graduated from Kensington High School and worked until her retirement as a telephone operator. She worked hard and loved to spend her money on the children in her family. Mary loved Christmas...and loved to Christmas shop even more. She would spend the entire day and night of Christmas delivering the gifts she lovingly picked out for all of the members of her family. And the day after, she would start shopping for the next Christmas.  Her family would say she loved to do for others and rarely thought of herself.  Mary also loved to bowl at the Erie Lanes and spent time on the computer, playing games. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation and funeral Wednesday January 6, 2021 beginning at 9am in St. Anne's Church (lower) 2328 East Lehigh Ave. Philadelphia PA 19125. Funeral Mass 10:30am.

We ask that all those attending services wear a mask, maintain social distancing, and adhere to seating arrangement put in place by the church to keep everyone safe during the pandemic, Covid-19.
