Mary Louise (Cusack) McCade

Mary Louise McCade (nee Cusack) passed away peacefully on July 31, 2022 at the age of 88. She is the beloved wife of the late Harry. Devoted mother of Colleen Wister, Lynn Gray, Kelly Tuttle (Chalie), Dan McCade (Sue), and the late Richard McCade and Harry McCade (Rose). Loving grandmother of Christopher, Amy, Lindsay, Harry, Timmy, John (Heather), Rosemary, Kelly Ann (Jay), Mark, Danny, and the late Kaitlin. Sadly missed by her 10 great grandchildren (one more on the way) and her great great granddaughter. 

Mary was born to the late Thomas and Marguerite (nee Doney) Cusack. She was raised in the Kensington section of Philadelphia and remained in the area for most of her life. She attended Ascension of Our Lord grade school and Little Flower Catholic High School for girls, from which she was a very proud graduate of the class of 1951.

Mary was a kind, gentle woman. She was an amazing mother to 6 kids! She never had a complaint and was always making sure her children were well taken care of. Mary also had a love for animals. She had many dogs and cats over the years, all of which lived long, happy lives. She absolutely loved going to Byrnes for some crabs and a beer or spending time down the shore.  Mary took pride in her appearance and was always well dressed and put together. She loved her makeup and her jewelry. She was a joy to be around and was loved by so many. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her but they take comfort that she is being reunited in heaven with her loved ones who have gone before her.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral Monday August 8, 2022 beginning at 9:30am in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia PA 19125. Funeral service 11am. Interment Oakland Cemetery.
