Mary Ann (Galligar) Foley

Mary Ann Foley (nee Galligar) passed away on August 11, 2025 at the age of 62. Her loving family was by her side. She was born in Philadelphia to the late Joseph and Rose Marie (nee Sieber) Galligar. 

Mary is the devoted mother of Brian Foley, Amber Soler, Amy Foley, Jasmine Foley (Pete Tyler), and her fur baby Coco. Loving Mom-Mom to Jadalynn, Jaeleous, Xavier, Paige, RoseMarie, Brian, Abel, Emma, Carter, Anaya, Jamison, her fur grandbaby Stamos and great grandmother to Rosalise. Dear sister of Kathy Steigelman, Joseph McCarthy, and the late Jerry Galligar. Sadly missed by her cousins, nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her life partner Tony Rodriguez. 

Mary was the type of person who did everything for everyone and was always there when needed. A devoted and hard-working woman, she was an Amazing mother and she served as a “second mom” to all of her children’s friends. She enjoyed playing bingo, attending Elvis impersonator shows, and spending time with her family—especially her cherished grandchildren. Her family was truly everything to her.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation and funeral Tuesday August 19, 2025 beginning at 10am in the McElvarr Funeral Home 1415-17 East Susquehanna Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19125 (Fishtown). Funeral service to follow at 11:30am. Interment private.
