Mary Ellen Wambold

Our beloved sister Mary Ellen Wambold passed away on May 8, 2022.  She was the daughter of Henry and Pearl Wambold and is survived by her brothers and sisters, Judith Flail, Ray Wambold and wife Joan, Barbara Wambold, Bob Wambold and wife Diane, Elmer Wambold and wife Jackie, Kathy Wambold and various nephews and nieces.   She was preceded in death by her siblings, Bill Wambold and Edith Hodge. 

Mary faced physical challenges for most of her life and displayed a remarkable courage and kindness that was an inspiration to us all.  She loved professional sports, especially Philadelphia teams.  She enjoyed being with her many friends at JR’s and Old Philly.  We will dearly miss her wit and encouragement and the example of perseverance exhibited in her daily life. 

Relatves and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass, on Tuesday May 17, 2022 at 10 AM, in St. Anne's Church, 2328 East Lehigh Avenue, 19125, where friends may gather after 9 AM.   .

In lieu of flowers, the family is respectfully requesting memorial contributions to Shriner's Hospital at the address below.
