Mercedes Feeney

Mercedes Feeney, age 45, passed away unexpectedly at home on March 2, 2026. she was born in Philadelphia on November 12, 1980.

Mercedes was the ultimate fan of the show Friends, never missing an episode and often performing skits from the show with her sister. She had a sweet tooth and never passed up a good treat. Mercedes loved to look her best, carefully matching every outfit and building an impressive collection of sneakers. She also enjoyed doing her makeup and expressing her style.

Full of life, Mercedes truly loved living. She had a kind heart and would do anything for anyone in need. Becoming a mother at a young age, she embraced the role with love and devotion. Her children and family meant more to her than anything in the world, and they were always at the center of her life.

Mercedes is the beloved daughter of Shawn Feeney (Phyllis) and Mercedes Sanchez Hendrickson. Devoted mother of Jasmine Wambold (Corey), Alex Feeney, and Jaden DeVita. Loving grandmother of Coleson and Noah. Dear sister of Lanna Aktan (Alp), Erina Feeney (Antonio Cione), Shawn Feeney, Ryan Feeney, Nicole Bartholomew, Frankie Bartholomew, and the late Coelina Bonney. Aunt of Samuel and Isabella. Sadly missed by her life partner Ed Cummiskey, her fur babies Minnie and Ava, and her aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

Relatives and friends are invited to gather and celebrate her life Tuesday March 10, 2026 beginning at 6pm in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia, PA 19125 followed by her funeral service at 7:30pm. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to Angels in Motion at the address below.
