Michael Charles Bozarth

Michael C. Bozarth 67, died unexpectedly on January 29, 2025. Michael was born December 31, 1957 in Philadelphia, the son of Charles R. and Mary Ellen (Brown) Bozarth. Michael was a skilled roofer and cement mason who worked from an early age with his father to perfect the trade. Living in the Kensington area of Philadelphia in 1995 Michael married his wife Kathleen Monroe and they remained in the area for the entirety of their 30 year marriage. Michael was an avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching the Phillies, Eagles, and golf. Michael played baseball and softball his entire life, and enjoyed spending time at the driving range. 

Michael was well known in the area and had many friends. He was quick witted, kind, and loyal to a fault. He could often be found in Walts, BnB, or the Chug a Mug pub spending time with his friends. Michael loved the mountains and spending time down the shore. Although he didn’t enjoy swimming, he loved walking along the boardwalk and people watching. Michael loved animals and had a special spot in his heart for dogs.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters Mary Ann, and Patricia (Moe), his niece Jennifer, and brothers Robert and Charles. Surviving in addition to his wife Kathleen (Monroe) Bozarth, are his sons Michael and Thomas (Andrea), grandsons Keegan, and Christian, his brothers and sisters Linda, Joseph, Jacqueline, Shirley, Maureen, Thomas, and Destiney. A brother in law James (Jennifer), sisters in law Maureen (Michael), and Maryfran (Edward). Many nieces and nephews including William ( Danielle), Erica, Michael, Brandon (Rasheema), Jenna, Shayna (George), James, Maddie, Gerry and many more. Services will be held at a later date.

Relatives and friends are invited to join his family in celebrating his life Friday April 25, 2025 beginning at 10:30am in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia, PA 19125. Prayers and words of remembrance will begin at 12pm.
