Michael J. Devine

Michael Joseph Devine, age 62, passed away suddenly on May 10th, 2024. He was born in Philadelphia on March 2nd, 1962. Michael was raised in North Philadelphia then moved to the Fishtown area of Philadelphia.

Michael is the son of Michael and Delores Devine and the beloved husband to Carolyn Devine (nee Bechta). Michael’s greatest legacy is being an amazing father to his children; Timothy Devine, Nicholas Devine, and Colleen Rizzo-Nelson. Cherished grandfather of Ava Devine. Dear brother of Bernard Drenkahn and Loriann Thatcher. Sadly missed by numerous nieces and nephews. Michael was a dedicated worker of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia for 43 years.

Michael will be greatly missed and his family takes comfort that he is at peace and reunited in heaven with those who have gone before him. 

Relatives and friends are invited to his memorial service Saturday May18, 2024 from 12pm to 2pm at McElvarr Funeral Home 1415 East Susquehanna Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19125.
