Mike was born in Philadelphia to the late John and Barbara Hoefler Noll. He passed away at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Mike was born in St. Peter, The Apostle Parish but moved to St. Anne's Parish at a young age. He attended St. Anne's Grade School and went on to graduate from North Catholic High School for Boys. Mike was serving in the Air Force Reserves, but was called up to the US Army when the Korean Conflict started. He saw overseas duty and served in Germany. He married the former Patricia Lutz and moved to Fishtown and be came very active in Holy Name Parish. Among other duties he served as Sacristan and Eucharistic Minister. He Chaired a number of committees including The Visitation Committee and the Annual Communion Breakfast. He was also very active in the Holy Name Society.
When he wasn't at the parish, he found time to enjoy bowling, he even went on tour with the Professional Bowlers Association. Among his past times he enjoyed reading the newspaper and rooting for his hometown teams the Phillies, Eagles and Flyers. In his spare time, Mike would stroll to the local store and pick up his newspapers and some groceries. What he enjoyed most was keeping up with the lives of his three children their spouses and , of course, his 5 grandchildren.
He is the beloved husband of Patricia A. (Lutz) Noll, devoted father of Denise Costa ( Stephen ), Michael Noll ( Jennifer ) and Maggie Altimairo ( Jeffrey ). Loving pop pop to Andrew, Maia, Joshua, Mason and Noah. Dear brother of John Noll and the late Anna, Henry and Philip. He will be sadly missed by his nieces nephews and his parish family.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass on Thursday April 8, 2021, at 11 AM, in Holy Name Church, Fishtown, where friends may call after 9:45 AM. Interment will follow with fill military honors at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
For those desiring and in lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial contributions to Holy Name of Jesus Church.
