It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Edward Oberholtzer on September 20, 2024. A beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his two sons, Michael and Christopher, and his granddaughter, Sapphire, who were the pride of his life. He was the dear brother of Joseph (Karen), Robert “OBear” (Mary), Edward “Elkie”, Kevin (Irene), Kenneth “Kenny”, Patrick “PJ”, Kathleen Yousef (Morhaf), and the late Warren, Keith “Bird” (Donielle), Kelly, Daniel “Danny”, and John “Butch” and many nieces and nephews.
He will be welcomed home to heaven by his parents Cass and Big Ed who he loved dearly. Michael faced many challenges throughout his life, navigating a long and often difficult road. Yet, his resilience and strength were an inspiration to all who knew him. He cherished his family deeply and shared a special bond with his many brothers and sisters, as well has his beloved nieces, nephews and friends. He passed away peacefully, with an abundance of love, surrounded by friends and family. As we remember Michael, we hold close the myriad of memories that illuminate the darker days—the laughter, the love, and those unrepeatable moments that shaped us all. Though his journey was hard, he faced it with courage and determination. We are blessed to know that he is no longer in pain. Michael's spirit will never be forgotten; his place in our hearts will forever be cherished, and he is profoundly missed. In honoring his memory, we celebrate a life well-lived and the love he shared with us all. May he rest in peace, surrounded by all of his loved ones at Heaven's gates. With all our love and remembrance.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 beginning at 9:30 AM, followed by his Funeral Service at 11 AM, in the HUBERT M. McBRIDE FUNERAL HOME, 2357 East Cumberland Street, Interment East Cedar Hill Cemetery.
