Patricia Caterina Obituary

Patricia passed peacefully surrounded by her children and husband on March 1, 2024.   Survived by her husband of 49 years, Dominick J. Caterina Jr., her children, Helena Harper (Sean), Patricia Hancock (Michael), Kimberly Malin (Eugene), Dominick Caterina (Jenny), and Lynette Rodziak (Shawn). Beloved mom-mom to Gabriel, Zachary, Aubrey, Abigail, Andrew, Addison, Dominick, Nathaniel, Tristan, Baby Caterina, Melody, Scarlett, Connor, and Eugene. Dear sister of Kathy Layton (Chuck), Margie Heron (Denny), Lori Miller (Jim), Edward Greene (MaryFran), John Greene, Maryann Warrington (Bruce), Frank Greene (Kala). Cherished sister-in-law of Geraldine McNamee and the late Helen Lichtenberger, Marcella Mackreth, and Arlene Luchsinger (David). Devoted great grandmother, aunt, and cousin to many.

Patricia (Patty, Pat) was a kind soul with a humble faith.  She accepted people for who they were and loved unconditionally.  Patty enjoyed life to the fullest, time spent with her was always an adventure.  In her younger years while raising her 5 children, she worked various jobs but dedicated most of her time to her family.  She was the family babysitter, and her house was always full of people and laughter.  As her children got older, she dedicated time to teaching and volunteering at Saint Anne's parish.  All the children in the neighborhood would call her Miss Pat.  She loved and cared for everyone she knew.   Patty knew how to enjoy every moment in life.  She was a positive thinker with a fun personality and had a light about her that drew people to her.  Patty shined as a mother and mom-mom.  She loved spending time with her kids and grandbabies as she called them.  She was a devoted Catholic who believed that loving and caring for others is our mission in life.  She had faith in Jesus and always felt close to the Blessed Virgin Mary.  She took part in the Legion of Mary and prayed faithfully.  In honor of her and her faith you can say a Rosary for all who are suffering from cancer.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral Sunday March 10, 2024 from 6-8pm and Monday March 11, 2024 from 8:30-10am in the Hubert M.
