Pat was born April 1953 in Philadelphia to John and Margaret Birmingham O’Neill, Pat was the middle child, she had her older sister Denise Spicer (Jim) and younger brother Shawn O’Neill (Patty) will always miss her dearly, both sat by her bedside in her final days.

She grew up in the Nicetown-Tioga neighborhood of North Philadelphia." Pat’s Father was a plumber and her mother worked for Reading Railroad. They raised their children to be proud members of society. Pat attended Little Flower High School Class of 71, She was a member of St. Veronica Catholic Church in North Philadelphia, then attended Holy Name of Jesus Parrish and was very active in the guitar group and played every Sunday until her illness progressed.

Pat met the love of her life George Fleetwood Sr. (unfortunately George predeceased her in 2023 after a battle with pancreatic cancer) Pat and George met at the Palmer Club in Fishtown, where they developed a love that both will carry forever.

Pat always told stories of her canary yellow Volkswagen Karmann Ghia, this car was the center of stories with lifelong friend Esther Metkus, (Frank) and others. Apparently, there was a story of having 13 people stuffed in the Karmann Ghia! Esther said they couldn’t hide from Pat’s Father John, when in trouble.

Pat and George had a daughter Colleen Colella, (Jay) who was the apple of Pat and George’s eyes, Colleen has twin daughters Amelia Patricia, (Millie) and Paige Vivienne, who miss their Mom-Mom & Pop very much.

Pat has a stepson George Jr. (Heidi) George has a son George.

Pat had a few jobs, she worked at Wistar, which her friends from there visited her regularly, She then moved to the Northeastern Hospital School of nursing as the registrar and helped develop many years of nursing students including her daughter Colleen. After the school of nursing closed, Pat worked for her church Holy Name of Jesus in Fishtown, where her and George were active parishioners, they helped at all the church fairs and George always cooked at the Christmas Bazaar.

Pat and George Loved camping for years at Hidden Acres, and for over the last 20+ years at Birchview Farm Family Campground in Wagontown, PA. Pat & George were the center of many campfires and happy memories for many at the Camp Cocktail section of the campground.

Pat loved playing her 12-string guitar at church on Sundays, Pat loved her cruises with friends, Pat’s favorite drink was a Cosmo, even when confused at the end with Alzheimer’s Dementia, she would nod & smile when asked if she wanted her favorite drink a Cosmo.

Pat’s Legacy will be the love she had for George, Colleen, Millie & Paige, and her love of camping and playing her guitar.

Though Alzheimer's gradually took her memories, it never diminished the love she gave nor the faith that guided her life. She has now been welcomed home into the loving arms of her Savior and reunited with the love of her life, George, where together they will watch over those they cherished."
