Patricia A. Schmid (nee Gallagher) or "Patsy", known lovingly by her family and friends, passed away at the age of 82, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories. She found joy in life's simple pleasures, especially spending time in North Wildwood, where she loved sunning on the beach.
A talented cook, Patsy delighted in preparing meals for her family, filling their hearts with warmth. She was an avid reader who could often be found lost in a good book and enjoyed unwinding with her favorite Hallmark movies. She had a deep love for her family and was especially proud of her three grandsons serving in the military.
Patsy's presence was unmistakable, with a loud, hearty laugh that could light up any room. She cherished sitting on her front step, chatting with neighbors, and socializing with everyone who passed by. She also loved taking long walks through the neighborhood, greeting familiar faces along the way. And whether she won big or not, she always found joy in her scratch-off tickets.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her warmth, laughter, and love will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
Patsy is the beloved wife of 64 years to the late George J. Sr. Devoted mother of Debbie Ferry (Mark), George J. Jr. (Jeannette), and Tricia Milligan (Greg). Loving Gram of Krysta, Rachel, Nicholas, Shane, Evan, Sydney, Courtney, the late Joseph, and great grandmother to Vivienne. Dear sister of Dennis Gallagher (Linda) and the late Hugh "Jack" Gallagher and Robert "Bob" Gallagher. Sadly missed by her nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather and celebrate her life Thursday March 13, 2025 beginning at 10:30am in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia, PA 19125 followed by her funeral service at 12pm.
