It is with heavy hearts hat we announce the passing of Patricia Ann Flanagan, who left us on Monday, August 25, 2025 at the age of 86. Pat was born in Philadelphia on July 23, 1939, to the late Jospeh and Clara Keppler Flanagan. She was a lifelong resident of the Fishtown neighborhood. Pat was employed by a few fabrics manufacturing companies; her specialty was ironing. She would be asked to iron clothing by her family for special occasions.
Patricia loved spending her days at the senior center playing bingo and talking with friends she met there. She was an avid fan of the Hallmark Channel and enjoyed eating at the Liberty Bell Diner, Boston Market and the Lobster House. She especially enjoyed decorating for the holidays St. Patrick's Day being her favorite. Patricia's warmth and kindness touched the lives of so many and her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She was a faithful parishioner of Holy Name of Jesus Parish.
Pat was preceded in death by her siblings: Joseph, Thomas, Clare Flanagan and Genevive Martin. Beloved Aunt to her favorite nephew Jim Flanagan and 2 generations of nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Saturday September 13, 2025, beginning at 9 AM, followed her Funeral Mass at 10 AM, in HOLY NAME OF JESUS PARISH, 701 East Gaul Street. Pat will be laid to rest with her sister Clare and nephew Jim at Palmer Cemetery immediately following the Mass.
