Patrick F. O'Brien

Patrick J. O'Brien passed away peacefully on April 13, 2020, at the age of 61. He is the devoted Dad of Alicia (Dawn), Patrick (Lauren), and Michael (Monica). Loving Poppy of Ryan, Hailey, Patrick, and Madison. Dear brother to his 8 brother and sisters. Predeceased by 8 brothers and sisters. Sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. 

Pat was raised in the Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia, the 9th child of 17 to John and Irene O'Brien. He was a hard worker and loved his family. When not working, he enjoyed fishing and hunting and having a good time with family and friends. He was known for his quick wit and humor and was always good for a one liner or a fun loving argument. He is described by his children as being a "character" and simply one of a kind. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him. 

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Tuesday May 19, 2020 from 9:30am-11am in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 E. Cumberland Street Philadelphia PA 19125. We ask that all those in attendance wear a mask and maintain social distancing inside and outside of the funeral home. Due to occupancy restrictions, please be prepared for any wait time. Burial and commital service immediately following in Greenmount Cemetery.
