Obituary

Patrick J. Ovack 62, passed away on August 9, 2023.  Pat was the first-born son of John (Jack) and Margaret (Peggy-nee Bognoski) Ovack of Fishtown.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents and brother Daniel.

Pat is survived by his loving wife Michele (nee Devine), his son Sean (Alyssa Pomykacz), his sisters Margaret (Peggy) Kerns and Lisa Edeline, his loving Aunt Donna and Uncle Bill. Also, many extended family members who are left with beautiful memories.

Pat grew up in Fishtown and loved his neighborhood. He was so tall and thin his friends nicknamed him "Bones".  Pat loved art and often painted murals for his friends. He was a graduate of Frankford high school class of 1979. After high school, Pat joined the Army and then worked in construction for many years. The last 30 years Pat spent in security.

Pat loved his Irish/Polish heritage and listening to rock and roll music. He loved his home, gardening and taking care of his family. He also loved all his Philly sports teams and was a true Michigan Wolverines fan. Go Blue!

Pat was a simple man who will be missed more than words can say. His memory will live on with everyone who loved him.

At Patrick’s request, there will be no services.

Burial will be held privately
