Pauline A. Trout , affectionately known as "Tootsie" was born in Philadelphia to the late Martin and Agnes Buck, passed away peacefully on July 11,2025, at the age of 86. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and parishioner of Saint Anne Church who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Pauline was predeceased by her beloved husband, Thomas, and her sons, Thomas Jr. and Michael. She is survived by her loving children: Patricia Steiber (Thomas), William (Kim), Kenneth (Sophia), Lisa Long (Joseph), Paula Hoffman (George), and Jacqueline Sweeney(Harry). Pauline also leaves behind a cherished legacy of 20 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.
In 2001, Pauline retired from Jefferies & Manz and embraced her retirement with enthusiasm. She joined the 5 and 1 Club and the Lutheran Settlement senior citizens group, where she indulged her love for travel, exploring many US states, parts of Canada, and even Ireland. Pauline treasured time spent with family and friends at barbecues, weddings, and various other family gatherings. An avid casino lover, she frequently enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, where she was often found playing two or three slot machines at a time. Pauline was a devoted parishioner at Saint Anne's Church, where her faith was a guiding force in her life.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing on Thursday July 17, 2025, beginning at 9 AM and followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM, all in St. Annes Church 2328 East Lehigh Ave. Phila Pa. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery where she will be united with her beloved Thomas. In lieu of flowers, the family is respectfully requesting memorials to the charities listed below.
