Pedro “Pete” Figueroa

Pedro Figueroa “Pete” passed away on July 11, 2023 after a long and courageous battle with liver disease. His loving fiancé was by his side. 

Pete was born on December 17,1955 in Queens, NY and lived there until graduating high school. He later moved to Philadelphia but was always a New Yorker at heart, especially when it came to his beloved New York Giants. Pete worked as a painter and was great at his job as he worked hard and paid close attention to detail. His true passion however, was cooking. He loved to be in the kitchen, preparing meals for family, friends, and also for anyone who needed a good meal. In his downtime, Pete enjoyed trips to Penn’s Landing, where he would enjoy the water views and his time to reflect. 

More than anything, Pete loved being with his family. He was devoted to his fiancé, children, and grandchildren and he loved every second of his time spent with them. He will be greatly missed and forever loved. 

Pete is survived by his beloved fiancée Tammy Hartenstine; his loving stepsons Todd Hartenstine and Darian King; and his granddaughters Azarii and Journie King. 

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his life at his funeral service Saturday July 29, 2023 at 2pm in St. Mark’s Church 4442 Frankford Ave. Philadelphia PA 19124, where friends may gather after 1:30pm. A luncheon will be served after the service in the fellowship hall of the church.
