Peter B. Mobley, of Philadelphia, went home to be with the Lord on June 12, 2025, at the age of 56.
A dedicated iron worker by trade, Peter was known for his unwavering work ethic—never missing a day and always showing up with gratitude in his heart. He took pride in his craft and cherished the opportunity to meet and connect with people every day. To those who knew him, he was more than just a colleague—he was the spiritual father of his company, a guiding light and source of strength for many.
Peter lived his life with a deep and abiding love for the Lord. His faith was the cornerstone of who he was, and he dedicated his days to worship, service, and spreading God’s love—especially to children, whom he adored and mentored with compassion and joy.
A true Philadelphia native, Peter was also a passionate Eagles fan. His love for his hometown team was only matched by his love for the people around him. Peter’s legacy is one of faith, kindness, hard work, and unwavering love. He will be deeply missed, but his light will continue to shine through the lives he touched.
Peter is preceded in death by his mother Sylvia Hinkle Mobley. He is survived by his beloved wife Luz "Lulu" Mobley (nee Martinez): his father Roger M. Mobley; sisters Kristen Veacock (Craig) and Christine Shatzer (George); and nieces Elizabeth Veacock and McKenzie Shatzer.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather and celebrate his life Saturday June 21, 2025 in Calvary Chapel of Philadelphia 13500 Philmont Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19116. The family will be receiving guests beginning at 9:30am, followed by his funeral service at 11:30am. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to The Voice of the Martyrs 1815 SE Bison Rd. Bartlesville, OK 74006, a charity that was special to Peter.
