Rita "Dolly" K. (Binkowski) Hertensteiner

Rita K. Hertensteiner "Dolly" (nee Binkowski), age 81, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2024, with her loving family by her side. She was born in Philadelphia, on January 27, 1943, to the late Walter and Rita (nee Gault) Binkowski. 

Dolly is the beloved wife of the late Robert "Herky". Devoted mother of Lisa (Ray), Robin, Bobby, and Lynn. Loving Nanny to Raymond, Lindsay, Neil, Kyle, Josh, Leea, Billy, Bobby, Avery and great Nanny to Jacee, Olivia, Jack, Ana, Chloe, DJ, Charlotte, and Layla. Dear sister of Jay (Maryanne), John, and the late Becky. Sadly missed by her nieces and nephews.

Dolly was known to have her door open for family and friends for a quick laugh and some gossip. She always had a way to make you feel welcome with her long winded stories and jokes. She was a true Fishtown gem and the Queen of Cedar gardens. 

Relatives and friends are invited to her memorial gathering Saturday May 11, 2024 beginning at 10:30am in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia, PA 19125. Funeral service 12pm. Interment will be held privately at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to Bayada Home Health Care 100 N. 20th Street Suite 203 Philadelphia, PA 19103.
