Ronald J. DiPietro passed away peacefully on October 8, 2022, at the age of 73. He is the beloved husband of the late Mary C. “Candy” Lippincott-DiPietro. Devoted father of Christina DiPietro-Sokol (Doug) and the late Christopher. Loving Pop-Pop of Calvin, Amelia, and Ava. Dear brother of the late Richard DiPietro.
Ronald (Ronnie) was a man who lived many lives. As a proud U.S. army veteran, he served his country in Vietnam. After an injury that put him on disability, he came back to Philadelphia to marry his wife, Candy, and raise his two children, Chrissy and Christopher. His disability never stopped him from living an active life, taking the family to various places. Ronnie was a family man through and through. He most enjoyed time helping with the kids' extra curricular activities, or spending weekends down the Jersey shore. Ronnie was never without Candy and the kids. Friends says that The DiPietro Family was "EVERYWHERE”, and Ronnie showed his love through his family. When he became a Pop-Pop, he believed that his life was complete. He loved watching his grandchildren, Calvin and Amelia, grow and he lived to spend as much time with them as possible.
Ronnie had love for many things, especially animals, painting, Philly sports, his church family at Saint Anne, and serving as an ambassador for the Pro- Life movement with his wife, Candy. Ronnie touched so many lives with his easy-going manner, and his colorful spirit. He will be greatly missed by so many. Because of his love for country, and for his devoted service, we ask you to remember Ronnie by making a donation in his name to the Disabled American Veterans.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral Thursday October 13, 2022 from 9-10:15am in St. Anne Church (lower) 2328 East Lehigh Ave. Philadelphia,PA 19125. Funeral Mass 10:30am. Private Interment at a later date.
