Ronald "Hatter" Malinowski Obituary

Ronald M. Malinowski, affectionately known as "Hatter," of Chester, PA, resident of Aston, PA, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2024. He was born on November 5, 1946, and lived a life filled with love, adventure, and service to his family and community.

A proud graduate of Sun Valley High School in 1967, Ronald continued his education at PA Technology College. He drafted into the United States Army, where he proudly served in the Vietnam War as part of the Army Corps of Engineers from 1966 to 1968. He was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal for his dedication during active duty.

Ronald was the beloved father of Theresa (the late John) Van, Michael, Ronald, and Melanie (Mark) Utz, as well as a cherished grandfather to Jayla, Jayanna, Benjamin, Abigail, Tanner and Taylor. He is survived by his brother Charles (Diana) Malinowski, along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Marianne (Slesicki), his parents, Edward and Phyllis Malinowski, and his siblings, Rosemarie Noble and William Malinowski.

Much of Ronald’s life was dedicated to his passions. He was an avid traveler and a Harley-Davidson enthusiast, finding joy in the open road. Ronald spent many years as a carpenter and worked at the Delcora plant, where he was known for his strong work ethic and skillful craftsmanship. Above all, Ronald was recognized for his easy-going and fun-loving personality—traits that endeared him to all who knew him.

He will be remembered for his outgoing nature and the deep love he had for his family and friends, always seeking to make every moment a memorable adventure.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ronald's honor to a charity of your choice that supports veterans or community service.

Ronald's spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched, and his legacy will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
