Rose "Rosie" Smith

Rose Christine Smith "Rosie", age 57, passed away unexpectedly at home on November 30, 2025. She was born and raised in the Kensington section of Philadelphia to the late Edward and Martha "Mossie" (nee Kull). She attended St. Anne's School and then John W. Hallahan High School for Girls, from which she graduated Class of 1986. Rosie was very athletic and enjoyed playing sports, especially softball, in which she excelled. Once Rosie had her children, she devoted her life to them. She enjoyed the time she spent with her family more than anything else.

Rosie is the beloved wife of the late Samuel Miller. Devoted mother of Samantha Olvera Juarez (Jorge), Gage Miller, Rose Miller, and the late Tiffany Miller. Loving Mom-Mom of Alex, Lily, Leon, and her new grandbaby who is on the way. Dear sister of Edward Smith (Julie), Michele Shahaj (Harry Hart), Nicole Flaherty (Keith), and the late Kimberly Smith. Sadly missed by her nieces and nephews and her extended family. 

Rosie will be deeply missed but her family takes comfort that she is being reunited in heaven with her parents, Sammy, her sister Kimmy and especially her beloved daughter Tiffany Rose.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation and funeral Friday December 5, 2025 from 9:45-10:45am in St. Anne Church (lower) 2328 East Lehigh Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19125. Funeral Mass 11am. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
