Rosemarie " Rose " Kennedy

Rosemarie Irene Kennedy (nee Halpin) of Philadelphia passed away on 2/17/2021, surrounded by the love and support of her family. Born in Philadelphia on 11/21/1960 to the late Mary E. and Thomas Halpin, she is survived by her children, Danielle McCullough (Robert), Brooke Miller (Mark), Brandon Osborne, and Justin Osborne, along with 4 granddaughters and 2 grandsons. 

An example of fearless nature, Rosemarie approached elements of life and love with a determination to appreciate all that life had to offer. On the warm sands of Wildwood beaches, she retained the energy of her youth throughout her life and could always be noticed as the first of the group to jump into waves, ask to be buried in sand, or spending time to win the best prizes that the boardwalk had to offer and her children coveted most. Always quick to accept the opportunity to dance or to enjoy the company of loved ones at dinner, Rosemarie dedicated her time to ensuring she left a lasting impression on those that met her and that she would always hold dear the best that other people had to offer to her. Her commitment to her family was seen in hours spent making holidays memorable, taking the time to ensure Santa’s footprints could be seen during the Christmas season. Celebrating moments with those that were close to her brought her great joy as she would never hold back the biggest smile when holding one of her grandchildren or her beloved dog, Max. From helping with homework and projects late into the night or ensuring that her makeup and clothing were always completed as if she was going out on the town, Rosemarie exuded a presence and personality fitting of her being called “Rose” as she was vibrant, unique, and, much like the flower, something to behold.

Relatives and friends are invited to share Prayers and Words of Remembrance on Wednesday February 24, 2021 beginning at 10 AM until Service Time at 11 AM. in the JOSEPH A SANNUTTI FUNERAL HOME, 7101 Torresdale Avenue, Phila., PA  19135.  Services will continue with interment at Glenwood Memorial Gardens, 2321 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA  19008.
