Ross Gordon Middleton, born 07/17/1956 in Methven, New Zealand, passed away on 04/20/24 in Philadelphia, PA. He is survived by his son, Damian, his daughter Sigal, son-in-law Alex Fischl, grandson Jonah Fischl, his wife Graciela, his sister and brother-in-law Clare and Barry Ede, brother of the late Carl (Heather) Middleton and his best friend Cindy Chance.
Ross managed his own company, KBI, as a contractor specializing in kitchen and bath installations. He was a master carpenter and worked most frequently on Rittenhouse Square. When he moved to the Philadelphia/New Jersey area in 2004, he became a contractor for Joanne Hudson Associates and he and Joanne bonded over excellence in kitchen design and building.
Ross was a supporter of WXPN, an accomplished triathlete, a great listener, curious about the world, and well-traveled. His friends come from all walks of life, and he made friends easily, even at Pennsylvania Hospital while under treatment for gastric cancer.
A Celebration of Life will be held on May 5, 2024, at 2:00 pm at The Ethical Society Auditorium, 1906 Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia PA. Parking at 1845 Walnut Street with partial validation available at Ross’s Celebration of Life.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to public radio service WXPN or the American Cancer Society or Gift of Life Donor Program.
