Sean Patrick Burns

Sean Patrick Burns passed away suddenly on September 20, 2023 at his Tusculum Street Family home, just two days before his 29th Birthday. Sean joins his mother  Lisa Lewandowski, his father Joseph "Fish" Burns, his grandparents Doll and Big Bill Lewandowski and Irene and Moe Burns, his cousin Grace Flynn, his Niece Bella Burns and many others in his passing.

Sean is survived by his brothers Nicky Martorell, Joseph Burns (Christina), his aunts Bethann “Pepper" Sells (Adam), Dolores Fowler (Nunzio),Nancy Flynn (Tom), Dawn Daly (Pat), his nephews Joey, Julian, and Jordan Burns, and his many cousins including Lianna, Tommy, Jack, Billy, Nick, Patrick, Brayden, Sabastian, and many others. He is also survived by his wife Erin.  

Sean, affectionately known as “Shizz”, brought so much love and laughter to so many, especially his family and friends who he loved deeply. It was very easy to tell how much Sean loved you by how much he roasted you. His bright eyes and beaming smile would lead the way for his quick wit and sharp tongue. He often used “Hun” as a term of endearment, especially after he worked you up into a frenzy. Sean’s love and humor was also matched by his kind heart towards his many dogs and pets over the years and anybody else who needed to be helped or loved.

Like the brightest star in the sky that burns out the fastest, Sean’s short life will be remembered forever by those who had the opportunity to witness it.  

Relatives and friends are invited to Sean’s viewing and funeral Wednesday September 27, 2023 from 7-9pm in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia, PA 19125.
