Sharon Horvath 61 of Fishtown, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on March 11th, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Eleanor Flanagan White. She was preceded in death by her her two sisters: Theresa White and Denise White. She is survived by her beloved husband Frank Horvath, her two beautiful daughters Shanen and Haily, as well as her beloved grandson Robert Holmes, sisters Marybeth, Donna and Shelly White, brother and sister in law George and Mary Horvath, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends, especially Anna Himes and Michelle Mcginty.
Her family was her sole focus, she worried over and took care of them until the end. She worked for the City of Philadelphia as a crossing guard, at the corners of Cumberland and Jasper and Berks and Thompson.
Sharon was a free spirit, she had an amazing sense of humor and a beautiful laugh! Her wit was razor sharp and she made her whole family laugh with her outrageous stories.
When Sharon's grandson Robert came along, it began a whole new chapter for her. ‘Robert’ was her whole world, her sidekick, and her best friend. She helped to raise him from the day he was born. ‘Two peas in a pod’ and ‘partners in crime’; they always shared a knowing, conspiratorial smile.
Sharon will be desperately missed by all those that she’s left behind. Our hearts are so broken by this unexpected loss. She was one of a kind and to be loved by her was to be truly blessed.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Thursday March 17, 2022 beginning at 6 PM followed by Words of Remembrance at 8 PM at McELVARR FUNERAL HOME, 1415-17 East Susquehanna Ave, Fishtown. Please wear casual clothing
