Susan L. Winczuk "Suzy Q" passed away on February 12, 2023 at the age of 46. She is the beloved daughter of Susan L. (nee Watson) and the late Harry "Skip" Winczuk. Devoted and loving mother to Joseph Yost III. Cherished life partner of the late Curtis Steigelman. Sadly missed by her aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear friends.
Susan was raised in the Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia and remained there throughout her life until relocating to New Jersey a few years ago. She was a proud graduate of John W. Hallahan High School for Girls. After graduating, she worked for awhile as a hairdresser and then in customer service in the trucking industry. Susan can be described as always being the life of the party. She was very sociable and loved being out with her friends, dancing and enjoying music. She took pride in her appearance and always had her nails and lashes done. She also loved being in the sun, laying by the pool, and working on her tan. Susan enjoyed traveling, especially going on cruises. If you would ask her, she would tell you she was "living her best life". More than anything, Susan loved her son and would do anything to make him happy. She will be sadly missed and her memory will be forever treasured by all those who loved her.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral Monday February 20, 2023 from 8:30-10:30am in the McElvarr Funeral Home 1415-17 East Susquehanna Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19125 (Fishtown). Funeral Mass 11am in Holy Name of Jesus Church 701 Gaul Street (at Berks). Interment East Cedar Hill Cemetery.
