Susan “Susie” (Ferretti) McKee

Susan McKee “Susie” (nee Ferretti), age 57, passed away at home on November 9, 2023 surrounded by her family and friends. She was born on September 9, 1966 to the late Caesar “Chet” and Florence “Flo” (nee Mooney) Ferretti.

Susie was raised in the Kensington section of Philadelphia in St. Anne parish. She attended St. Anne School and then graduated from Bensalem High School, Class of 1984. Susie later raised her own children in the very neighborhood where she grew up. 

Susie was a devoted mother who lived for her children. Her home was always filled with kids, whether they were her own, her nieces and nephews, her children’s friends, and then her grandchildren. Her door was always open to anyone and she was there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She was like a mother to so many. Susie was also a loyal friend who was fiercely protective of those she loved. She lived her life for others, always with integrity, and was just a good person. 

Susie was always the life of the party and she loved to go out and enjoy herself, dancing and singing to the oldies. She also loved the beach, especially the beach in Aruba, going to the casino, and her “scratchies”. She will be painfully missed and forever loved by all those who knew her.

Susan is the beloved wife of the late Patrick. Devoted mother of Brittany Ferretti (Mike), John Sanford (Shawna), Alex (Sam), Amanda (Wil), and Max. Loving Grandmom to Cole, Greyson, Briar Rose, and Kieran Patrick. Dear sister of Joanne Duccilli (Tim), Maureen Ulmer, Timothy Ferretti (Lucy), and the late Kathleen Ferretti. Sadly missed by her nieces and nephews and her great nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral Friday November 17, 2023 beginning at 8:45am in St. Anne Church (upper) 2328 East Lehigh Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19125 followed by her funeral mass at 10:30am. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations to an education fund for Max McKee in care of Brittany Ferretti.
