Theresa M. (Wise) Leissner

Theresa Leissner was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Roy and Esther Corson Wise. She passed away at Somerton Long Term after a courageous battled against Brain and Stomach Cancer. 

Theresa was one of the kindest and sweetest soul you could ever meet.  She was a hard worker. She worked at Flora Craft for 3 years with her sister the late Carla Wise. She also worked for McDonald’s at Front and Girard and for the Penn Home in Fishtown.  .  She was married to the late Lawrence Leissner and the late Albert Delilo 2 separate times in her life . Theresa was a mother figure to all the children around her. She loved all the kids and would take care of them as her own. She was very helpful to anyone in need and always stood up for what is right.  She was also an animal lover.

She is survived by her nephews Roy ( Denise ) and Eric ( Antonia ) She was the great aunt of Roy Jr. , Angela, Abigail, Kaelin, Gabrielle, Bernie, Nathan, Emily, Bernie III and Autumn.  Great great aunt of Sayear.  She was predeceased by  her siblings Richie, Lennie ,Judy and Carla and her nephews Christopher and Richard.  

She will be sadly missed by her many loving friends and extended family.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Saturday March 19, 2022, beginning at 10 AM and followed by her Funeral Service at 11 AM, in the McELVARR FUNERAL HOME, 1415-17 East Susquehanna Ave. Fishtown. 

For those desiring and in lieu of flowers the family is respectfully requesting memorial contributions to a Charity benefitting animal welfare.
