Thomas R. Petroski passed away on February 2, 2023 at the age of 68. He is the beloved husband of over 41 years to June (nee Doyle). Devoted father of Joseph (Krista), Kerri, and the late Tommy "Petro". Loving Poppa to Skyler Jo, Joseph, and Hayden. Dear brother of Margie (Wayne), Clara, Kathy (Pat), Leo (Eileen), David (Roni), Josephine (late Larry), and the late Pauline. Cherished brother in law of Joanie, Sean (Kim), Marcie, Julie, and the late Billy, Randy, and Greg. Preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Margaret, and his parents in law William and Joan. Sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews.
Thomas was born and raised in Philadelphia, in St. Anne's parish, and remained in the area until relocating to Delaware after his retirement. Tom worked for 19 years as a driver for the City of Philadelphia's Waste Management Department. In his downtime, he loved fishing and vacationing at Shawnee Mountain in the Poconos. He also enjoyed golfing in his later years.
Thomas was a devoted family man who would do anything for his family, especially his wife, kids and grandkids. He was a true sports dad and was always there to support his kids in anything they did. Everyone loved Tom and he always did things in his own, unique way. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral Friday February 10, 2023 beginning at 9am in Nativity BVM Church (lower) 2535 East Allegheny Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19134. Funeral Mass 11am. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to the American Lung Association.
