Timothy "Tim" Lee Philpot

Timothy Lee Philpot "Tim" passed away unexpectedly at home on June 24, 2024. He was born on April 1, 1963 in Hamilton, Ohio. 

Tim graduated from Hamilton High School and then entered the United States Air Force, serving a four-year term. He then moved to Philadelphia, where he met his wife Dee. Tim was a huge sports fan, whether it was playing sports, coaching his grandchildren, or watching Ohio State, of which he was a huge fan. He had a passion for music, especially Rock n' Roll, and was a talented singer and guitarist. He even spent time as a member of a band. Tim also enjoyed fishing, especially with his kids and grandkids. 

Tim was goofy and was a big kid at heart. He loved his family, especially the kids. He was very patient with them and was always a jokester, doing anything he could to make them laugh. Tim also had a love for animals and would always feed and care for them. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Tim is the beloved husband of Dee (nee Vogt). Loving son of Darrell and Joann Philpot. Devoted father of Ashley Trist (Orion), Katie Burnett, Lori Checkum (Michael), and Lisa Stahl (Bill). Loving Pop of Arden, Aubree, Asher, Braelyn, Alexa, Kevin, Lilyan, and Billy. Dear brother of Jeffrey Philpot. Sadly missed by his in-laws and his nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are invited to gather and celebrate his life on Saturday June 29, 2024 beginning at 10am in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia, PA 19125 followed by his funeral service at 11:30am.
