Tracy A. Johnston-Hendricks

Tracy A. Johnston-Hendricks passed away unexpectedly at home on July 4, 2023, at the age of 44. Tracy is the beloved wife of the late Kenneth Hendricks Sr. Devoted mother of Kenneth Jr., Kylie , Jared, and Jayden . Cherished daughter of George "Sonny" and Patricia (nee Weinberger) Johnston. Dear sister of Sonny Johnston (Christina), Thomas Johnston (Christina), and Kristin Johnston. Loving aunt to Emily, Hayden, Ally, Brynn, Mason, and Tatum. Sadly missed by her aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

Tracy was born and raised in the Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia. She attended Adaire Elementary Grade School, then Hallahan High School. Tracy later met Kenneth Hendricks, fell in love, and soon after tied the knot. They started their family, growing into a family of six. Tracy always put others before herself and would do anything for anyone, especially her children. She was always willing to watch all of her nieces and nephews and all of the kids always wanted to be at Tracy's house. She went out of her way for her family, whether it be making a homemade carnival in her living room, complete with a bouncy house in the living room, to making a toy room equipped with a fake restaurant and grocery market. She was always kind and sweet to everyone and would do anything to help anyone in her family, from being a great listener to making sure her loved ones' needs were taken care of. She loved to spend time with her family, especially at her mom's house, where she made so many memories that her family will laugh about and cherish forever. Tracy poured her heart into raising her family and she will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Monday July 10th from 7-9pm and Tuesday July 11th from 9:30am-11am in the McElvarr Funeral Home 1415-17 East Susquehanna Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19125 (Fishtown). Service of Christian Burial 11am in the funeral home. Interment Magnolia Cemetery.
