November 3rd, 2025, we mourn the passing of Veronica Sue Kaiser, known affectionately as “Ronnie Sue” to those who knew her. Passing peacefully in her sleep at home surrounded by family and friends. Sharing stories and anecdotes about her life in more carefree days, laughs behind cheeks dampened by tears. No “I Love You” left unsaid.
Ronnie Sue made her mark in this city from the very beginning, born to Willard and Rebecca Quick, March 29, 1958, in Port Richmond. Ronnie Sue grew up the youngest of three. Greeted at the gates on her day of departure, are her older siblings, Mary Ann, and Will. Hand in hand they traverse the landscape we refer to as “next”, casting the silhouette of three Quick kids on Miller St contently walking to the arms of Will and Becky, reunited again.
Ronnie Sue lived a full life, an alumni of Nativity, Hallahan, and all things Philadelphia Sports, she touched the lives of anyone around her, from scaring her neighbors’ children out of the street with her legendary “mom glare” to being a shoulder for one to dry their face on in their most difficult times. She was a strong, confident, fierce woman who could jar you with bluntness, only for you to feel your heart glow when you saw it was out of genuine love for you.
Ronnie Sue found her soul mate in life, Joe Kaiser, while dancing the night away, and their song has never stopped playing. They created a loving family with George and April, then adding Joey into the mix. And with all the love they found, adventures were always to be had: traveling the world, jumping out of planes, choosing additional family along the way, sisters, brothers, sons, daughters, grandkids to enjoy every bit of life with.
Her love had to be shared, her empathy had to be acted upon in outreach programs. She found a professional family in “Angels in Motion” dedicating her time together with her daughter, April, and people she loved, to lift strangers onto their feet and tell them she believed in them.
The world is less without Ronnie Sue in it. She took pleasure in simple things: celebrating the Christmas season events with her daughter in New York City. Dancing with her husband in the kitchen of her home on Cumberland St. Making sure everyone around her had a full plate of food at the block party. Seeing the look on her sons’ faces when they became a father. Looking someone in the eye and telling them: “You are my family now.” But all of us who knew and loved her, will forever keep her alive in our hearts by projecting what she gave the world – Be kind, be true, be like Ronnie Sue. Until the day we meet again. We love you.
Ronnie Sue is the beloved wife of Joseph Kaiser Sr. Devoted mother of George Waidelich (Natalie), April Goodema (John), Joseph Kaiser Jr. (Emily), and Tina Pinkney. Loving Gram of Ryan, Ashton, Sam, Thomas, Molly, Luke, JoJo, Bennett, and Elliott. Dear daughter of the late Willard and Rebecca (nee Carlisle) Quick. Dear sister of the late Maryann Stevens (Mike) and the late Willard Quick. Sadly missed by her extended family.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation and funeral Saturday November 8, 2025 beginning at 8:30am in St. Anne Church 2328 East Lehigh Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19125, followed by her funeral mass at 10:30am.
