Vincent "Vinny" A. McCandless

Vincent A. McCandless "Vinny", age 40, passed away suddenly on August 11, 2024. He was born on April 20, 1984.

Vinny was raised in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia, at Crease and Thompson Streets. He enjoyed his childhood with his siblings, cousins and friends, hanging out and playing sports, especially hockey. When he was older, Vinny enjoyed going to the clubs and could always be found on the dance floor, especially when it was "Time for the Perculator". Vinny was always the life of the party, who could make anyone laugh when they were in his presence. He will be greatly missed and forever loved by all those who knew and loved him. 

Vinny is the beloved son of Tina Stieber Araissi and the late Vincent E. McCandless. Loving father of Alyssa McCandless, Ashley McCandless, Brailyn McCandless, Carter McCandless, and Mason Hibib. Cherished brother of Joan Stieber, Erica Strunk-Pulaski (Jason), and Amanda Griffin. Dear grandson of Joan and Louis Boharsik and Dolores and the late Thomas "Tucker" McCandless. Sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral Tuesday August 20, 2024 beginning at 10am in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia, PA 19125 followed by his funeral service at 12pm. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests and appreciates any donations towards his final expenses in care of the funeral home.
