A diesel mechanic by trade, he served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. Walt enjoyed NASCAR and the music of Elvis Presley. More than anything he loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a gentle and steady presence in their lives, always there offering support in quiet and meaningful ways.
Walter is the devoted father of Nicholas (Karen), and Michael. Loving Pop to Gia, Nicholas, and Michael. Dear brother of Matthew, Francis, and Michael.
