William C. Gassman, Jr.

Bill was born in Philadelphia to the late William C. Gassman Sr. and Anne Lilly Gassman.  He graduated from Holy Name of Jesus School, North Catholic HS and LaSalle College, where he received his degree in Accountancy.  He was on the staff of the Fishtown AC Alumni Association. 

He has worked for Moffit Bearings, Wells Fargo Alarm Co. and retired from Broadview Networks in March of this year.  He was an usher at the  Saturday 4:30 Vigil Mass at Holy Name Church, where he was stricken.  Bill passed away in Hahnemann Hospital of heart failure a few weeks later.  

He is the dear brother of James M. Gassman ( Kim ), Rosemary E. Gruber ( George ), Anne Marie Gassman, Stephen Gassman ( Jackie ), Kevin Gassman ( the late Christine ) , Paul F.  ( the late Christina ) and the late Michael.  He will be sadly missed by 2 generations of nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Friday 7-9 PM  in the McELVARR  FUNERAL HOME,  1415-17 East Susquehanna Avenue, Fishtown.  Friends may also call on Saturday after 8:30 AM in Holy Name Church, where his Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 AM.  In lieu of flowers,  the family is respectfully requesting memorial contributions to the above named church at 701 East Gaul Street, Philadelphia, PA   19125
