Gilmore IV and Kristen Gilmore. Dear brother of James Gilmore (Carmel) and Patricia Poderis (Mark). Loving uncle of James (Madeline), Mark, Fiona (Richard), Melissa, Andrew, and great uncle of Maeve. To say you have met Bill Gilmore is to say you probably laughed as hard as can be. Bill was an incredible force of nature when it came to personality. High spirits and always cracking jokes, Bill knew how to light a room up. Whether that be going to Phillies games with his kids, heading to Florida to work on his tan, or sitting on the couch watching tv with his favorite pets Lucky and Sam (his dog and cat). That made him easily one of the most charismatic and approachable people on earth. Something that will be dearly missed.
Bill grew up a native of Kensington where he spent the majority of his life around people who always wanted to be near him. Working since a very young age, Bill instilled in his children a work ethic that was unwavering and that will stand the test of time. He was a union man after all. During his life he faced many demons and came out on the other side with a mission to help other people who needed it. In doing so he recently celebrated 17 years of sobriety. Something to be admired and celebrated for. Bill will be remembered for the lives he helped and enriched and will never be forgotten.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather and celebrate his life on Saturday December 4, 2021 beginning at 10am in the Hubert M.
