William H. Gosner Jr. passed away at home on July 22, 2026, at the age of 62. He was born in Philadelphia on October 13, 1963 and was a longtime resident of the Port Richmond section of the city.
William proudly served his country for four years in the United States Navy, with his service taking him to destinations around the world, including the Mediterranean. Following his military service, he built a career as a heavy equipment operator and was a proud member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 542.
William had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and found joy in life’s simple adventures. Whether he was riding his motorcycle, fishing on the Delaware River, sailing, or spending time on a jet ski, he was happiest when surrounded by nature and the water. He also cherished traveling with his beloved wife, Debbie, creating lasting memories together wherever their journeys took them.
William is the beloved husband of the late Deborah (Nee Lynch). Cherished son of Helen Gosner Kelly (Francis) and the late William H. Gosner Sr. Dear brother of Edward F. Gosner Sr. (Doris Santiago), James Gosner, and Richard Gosner (Adelaide). Sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral Saturday August 1, 2026 beginning at 9am in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia, PA 19125, followed by his funeral service at 11am. Interment to follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest with his beloved Debbie.
