William H. Leach. Sr.

William H. Leach Sr. (Bill), Age 70, died March 9,2025, of Philadelphia, PA. Beloved husband of the late Maryellen Leach, and the late Adeline Leach. Surviving is his direct son William H. Leach Jr. His other children include the late Joey Leach and the late Jay Leach. There are also many adult children from both marriages, nineteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He is survived by his brother Joe Leach and George Spink. He was predeceased by brothers Jack, Bob and James.  Bill was a graduate of Lincoln High school class in 1972. After high school he joined the Navy as a Seabee, -Excavating Occupation. After serving he then went to work as a Boilermaker at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard. He was an active member of Narcotics Anonymous celebrating 40 plus years. He was also involved with “Men of Malvern” -Matt Talbot Retreat Group No 8. Bill’s favorite pastime was spending time with his fur-babies, a cat and three dogs. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral on Thursday evening March 13, 2025 only beginning at 6 PM in the McELVARR FUNERAL HOME, 1415-17 East Susquehanna Ave., Fishtown. His funeral service will be at 8 PM.  Further arrangements will be private.  In lieu of flowers, the family is respectfully requestingl donations can be offered in his memory to “Pennsylvania SPCA, 350 E.
