William "Bill/Mole" J. Mitchell

William J. Mitchell "Bill/Mole" passed away unexpectedly on December 13, 2021. He is the beloved life partner of Joy Renzi.  Devoted father of William Petroski, Crysta Petroski, Anthony Petroski, Melanee Schneider, and Samantha Smith. Loving Pop-Pop to Abel, Zoey, Avery, Maelynn, Skyler, Ivy, and Jim-Jim. Dear brother of Frank Mitchell (John Majka), and Betty Ann Mitchell (Jack Kaiser).  Sadly missed by his former spouse and friend Syndy Petroski and also his nieces and nephews. 

Bill was born and raised in East Kensington in the neighborhood fondly known as "Cione". He attended St. Anne School and North Catholic High School. He worked for over 10 years for a tree removal service and was a hard worker. Bill was a die-hard Philadelphia sports fan, especially the Eagles, and was lucky enough to see each of the Philly sports teams win a championship. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and his ability to make people laugh. 

Relatives and friends are invited to gather and celebrate his life Saturday December 18, 2021 beginning at 10am in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia PA 19125. Funeral Service 11:30am.
